ProFood Solutions and Transaera Partner to Revolutionize HVAC in Commercial Kitchens

First Installation of Next-Generation Ventilation Systems

Somerville, MA — Transaera, a leader in high-efficiency HVAC innovation, is proud to announce the first installation of its cutting-edge Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) at a commercial kitchen facility in Hialeah, Florida. This marks the first deployment of Transaera’s ultra-efficient DOAS in a high-demand kitchen environment that will set a new benchmark for energy performance and indoor air quality in food service facilities.

ProFood Solutions, an affiliate of CloudKitchens, a pioneer in transforming commercial kitchens for the digital age, is once again breaking new ground, this time in sustainable infrastructure. By integrating Transaera’s advanced technology into their operations, ProFood Solutions is leading the way in tackling one of the biggest operational and environmental challenges facing kitchens today: efficient and effective outdoor air ventilation, especially in hot and humid climates.

The new system utilizes Transaera’s proprietary dehumidification technology to dehumidify air without overcooling and reheating, a process that traditionally accounts for more than half of HVAC energy use. Energy savings for cooling and dehumidification are projected to exceed 40% when compared to conventional DOAS systems, with improved occupant comfort and reduced carbon emissions.

Our collaboration with ProFood Solutions is not just about installing new hardware, it’s about redefining what’s possible in commercial kitchen environments

“We’re excited to validate this technology with such a forward-thinking partner that is pioneering the adoption of sustainable technologies at scale. ProFood’s commitment to innovation makes them the ideal partner to pilot this groundbreaking technology. We expect initial performance data to be available by the end of the year,” said Sorin Grama, CEO of Transaera.

This installation is part of a broader effort to validate Transaera’s next-gen HVAC architecture in high-impact applications such as commercial kitchens, educational facilities, retail stores and data centers.
