Transaera and KCC Companies Announce Manufacturing Partnership to Scale High-Efficiency DOAS Production

Transaera has partnered with KCC Manufacturing to scale U.S. production of its dedicated outdoor air systems. KCC, a 100% employee-owned manufacturer with decades of DOAS experience, will build the cabinet, support implementation of Transaera’s proprietary controls, and provide the systems integration and domestic manufacturing capacity behind the platform at its Kentucky facilities. KCC is also co-developing the next-generation cabinet with Transaera’s engineering team.

Transaera’s MOF-based desiccants remove moisture at far lower regeneration temperatures than traditional desiccants, making all-electric humidity control possible in a package that fits existing rooftop footprints. The platform has delivered 40% energy savings compared with conventional packaged DX systems. Multiple units have already been built, with production volume expected to grow as demand increases across commercial and multifamily buildings.

“We were never going to scale this by building cabinets ourselves,” said Sorin Grama, CEO and Co-Founder of Transaera. “Having that behind us in the United States is what lets us commit to customers on volume and on timing.”
