Our co-founder and CEO Sorin Grama spoke with Nathan Howes of the Weather Network about an aspect of air conditioning most people don’t know about: humidity, not temperature, is what actually makes a room feel unbearable.
As Sorin notes: “You feel miserable on a hot, humid day in Miami, but you feel OK in the same temperature, but a dry day in Arizona or in Canada.”
Our DOAS units pull moisture out of the air using metal-organic frameworks before cooling even starts, running roughly twice as efficient as conventional systems as a result. Less electricity per building means a smaller footprint at exactly the moment grid demand keeps climbing.
